why can't i use the text to speech for my kindle books on my samsung tablet?

I have a kindle, and the text to speech for my kindle books works great but when I want to use the same feature for my Samsung tablet to read my kindle books there is nothing in the settings that gives me the text to speech option. is there an app that i need. I already downloaded the voice aloud reader but it still does not give me an option for my kindle books on my tablet. the only one that works for reading aloud is play books.
