In an xp machine, when i uninstall software from my control panel and even delete it from system registry, someone can find out that the software was installed... (like whenever i install or uninstall software, a system restore point will be created). Is there a way that complete details of the software installed can be wiped out from the machine?

There are always going to be residual files left in the registry somewhere for any software when it's uninstalled. The only way to completely get rid of traces is to reformat your hard drive and then reinstall windows. That's a little extreme to get rid of software traces but it's the only way.
