for an e mail account how do i create a strong password

Use a combination of:

Uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers and symbols.
Do not use any complete words as they are found in the dictionary. If you want to use a recognizeable word, do some replacements, such as the number 1 instead of the letter l, the number 5 instead of s, the @ symbol instead of the a ... etc.

As long as you use captan letters and numbers your password will be strong. Also usually it will say minimum 8 characters so use about 10 and it should be fine. :)
