my samsung 3g 720 won't let me open Netflix to watch movies

My samsung 3g 720 sch will not connect to netflix to allow me to watch movies. I just signed up and got a month free trial. I also downloaded the free Netflix app from google play. It still won't open Netflix to allow me to watch a movie. What do I do?
