all internet browsers can not connect to the internet in desktop view after upgrading windows 8.0 to windows 8.1

Question

Since i upgraded my Dell desktop from windows 8.0 to 8.1 and all the browsers ( IE 11, firefox etc) will not open any web page due to "no internet connection" but the same browsers in the metro view of windows  8.1 open and display the web pages normally.
