After downloading iOS 8.0.2 on my iPad mini, sending out email has been a problem.

I have tried to send out email numerous times from hotmail but it doesn't get sent. This happened only after I updated to iOS 8.0.2. I can send out from gmail but not hotmail. I looked into the settings and couldn't find anything to fix it.
