How do I repair my android?

Question

My friend tried to root my phone and messed it up. I've been able to repair most of the damage, but I still can't get marketplace app and others. So far all I can do turn it on/off, access internet, and read incoming texts. It is a Huawei Ascend 2 (M865), by Cricket, with no service. I don't need require factory setup, just something that operated via WiFi to monkey around with.
