Dell n5050 won't start up, it just pulsate on and off every two seconds .Please help.

When the laptop comes on, dell logo appears for two second then shuts off completely for another two second, over and over

until I shut it off.

Does it make any beeps? If so, make note of the beep pattern and search for beep codes for your machine. If not, you can try removing the AC adapter, the battery, and then pressing the power button for 30 secs to 1 min and then power up again - no guarantees. Failing that, your best bet would be to call Dell support and see if they can help.
