wi-fi connection problem

my kindle 4.1.1 (1813030025) has a problem of wi-fi connection. could you please advice me how to go about it.

I have a Kindle Paperwhite, so there may be some differences.

1,  Open the Settings menu

2.  Ensure Airplane Mode is OFF.

3. Open Wi-Fi Networks.  It may take a while before available networks are discovered.  Be patient.

4.  Select one of the available networks.

5.  You will have to contact the network admin if a password is required and you don't know it.
