my laptop wont start, power lights stay on, i can hear the fans but nothing happens

How can I get the laptop to start?

Try turning off your computer and disconnecting all power sources (i.e. Power cord). Take out your battery. Then hold your power button down and count slowly to 10 to guarantee ALL power is drained. Let it sit for about a minute and replace battery. Turn it on and see if that works. Good luck!
