How to recover constants from e72 Nokia

I was trying to copy my contacts from my Nokia e72 phone to memory card. It was copying ( as the message appeared ) and I thought I copied the contacts to memory card or to SIM card. Unfortunately I did not . Now each time I try to go to contact ... It asks me to set up communicator. Can anyone help , please I would  / could lose 4 years of my contacts ... Please please .
