the icons on my computer wont show up and i keep trying to put them back on the home screen page

my daughter hit the keyboard and now all the icons that were on the main screen are gone. i keep trying to save them back to the home screen but it is saying it is already there... my grandpa is kinda getting upset and i need to fix it somehow...

Your daughter has managed to create a multi-screen view of the desktop allowing you to have multiple desktops essentially. You need to turn that back off.
