recover my data, better still my 1000 GB

My 1000 GB toshiba additional memory was connected to my loptop when the loptop suddenly begin some update. The after it RESTART only for me to realise that all my content on the Toshiba storage has been lose. When I checked it properties it was all ZERO. For free and zero for used. I also tried to copy contents to it but still can't enter

Try downloading the program Recuva and running that.
