How can I get my toshiba laptop c855d-c5340 to power back up, no lights or anything coming on

Phone was not getting a good charge so I plugged it up to computer through USB cable, all of a sudden computer went blank and now will not power back on but phone is taking a charge now. Is this something that can be fixed.

It sounds like there was a short in the USB connection. Your motherboard may be damaged. Contact Toshiba for support.
