how do you restore sudden loss of system related sounds on rooted LG L38C?

Question

I can turn volumes up and down but there is no sound. i try to make a call but there is no sound, yet the call goes through or connects. i have a rooted LG L38C straight talk phone. i have all data capabillities still. just no sound. i have tried soft reset along with a hard reset. I have tried uninstalling any possible apps that would cause this issue. i don't know what i can do to try before having to take it in (don't really have a lot of extra cash right now and this is my only phone)
