can i down load games into my 3rd gen 8gb ipod touch?

I'm trying to download games onto my daughters 8gb 3rd gen iPod. My sons got games on his 3rd gen ipod,but his is a 64gb. Is it not possible to do it on 8gb? Are there ANY games I can get for it at all or can it only handle songs?
