my 28" Emerson TV/DVD combo won't play DVD's. cleaned lens now just says your DVD unit seems to have a problem..

First started stopping in the middle of a movie like it couldn't read the disc so I cleaned the lens & now it loafs the disc, spins like it's reading it but then displays a message stating your DVD player seems to have a problem.
