how do i stop monitor from flashing when making calls?

Question

I am using DTC bullet and have been tinkering with all settings since this problem arose. There isn't any guide or option that I can find that could make the phone interface permanently visible when making calls. I cannot view anything, cant drop call using the screen, can't view contacts when on call, or change from normal to loud speaker. Pls help.
