how do I reset a new WEP key for my linksys BEFW11S4 v.2 wireless router

I had stopped using my router when I got a cable modem. I now want to start using it again and do not rememember the WEP key

Perform a factory reset ol the router - usually by pressing the reset button for 15-30 seconds.

Connect to the router by ethernet cable and go through the first time setup. You will be able to set a new password wihen you enable the WiFi. You should choose WPA2 instead of WEP. WEP is not sufficient and can be hacked in less than a minute.
