My laptop is an HP True Vision HD. It recognizes the DVD but is not letting me copy files into it. It says-"Disk may have stopped working".

what is your burning software ex: you using a nero selact dvd or cd( you using a cd selact cd) selact (data) cd  now you can ad your files (vidios,pictre or you data ) and burn the cd    i can halp  you but i need a more data

Either the DVD drive you are using is currupted or the process you are using it not correct.

Better you try with a new DVD using Nero burning tool.
