I connect my PC to TV through HDMI cable. I have image but no sound

When I connect my PC (Windows 8, NVIDIA GFORCE GT 635M) to my TV through HDMI cable, I have video but no sound. What sould I do?

Simply a great deal of information will show the discrepancies in functional performance for electronics.
