my samsung galaxy light phone isnt connecting to metro pc

I spoke with a corporate associate and she said that the Samsung Galaxy light is having problems with dropping data unexpectedly right now. She said technicians have been trying to fix the problem since Friday, but does not know when it will be fixed. So I'm a little hesitant buying it. Might just get the LG optimus L70 since I need a decent phone asap.
