I can send email from laptop but not ipad or iphone

Question

i use to be able to send emails from my i phone and i pad, then i went on holiday abroad and i got a message from microsoft saying they think someone may be using my account as there has been unusal activity and the message was to verfiy my account which i did, it has now left me only able to send email from my laptop. i have tried changeing the pass word on all 3 units to make sure they all match but the message come on the ipad/phone user name or password for me is incorrect but i know it is correct. HELP!
