How do I turn on my wifi on my desktop computer if my keyboard has no Fn key?

I have a gateway keyboard and a what appears to be an LG computer.  I wired in a TP- LINK wireless router and set it up.  I bought a google chromecast for my flat screen TV to send shows I am watching on my computer to my flat screen.  The chromecast setup on the TV ok.  I followed the instructions to download the chromecast app for my computer.  It downloaded ok, but I keep getting a message that wifi is turned off.  My router is on and wired properly, and is functioning per manual.  I do not have an Fn key on my keyboard and want to enable my wifi.
