I have a Pavilion a6707c HP with Windows Vista Home Premium OS.  I installed a new HD and got a B10HD3 code.  Called HP Support and was told to install a new HD.  I did but got the same code ( So Much for HP Support)  I checked my Bios and it sees the HD and CD/DVD drivers but they are showing in the Bios as #3 and#4 boot drivers with #1 and #2 AS none.  I checked the sata cables and they are plug into the #1and #2 sata ports on the MOBO. I ve tried to use my HP Recovery disc with the boot priority set as #1 CD/DVD also in the boot menu.  I get a Disk Boot Failure insert a system disk and press enter.  I tried this several times but still get the Disk boot failure.  I tried using a Flash Drive withe Bios and Boot Menu set correctly.  I get Disk I/O error.  Ive changed Sata and power cables but still the same results. Is it my MOBO? or Am I doing something wrong?

From what I have found researching this issue, one of the things you may need to do is to upgrade the power supply.
